Michael Sinclair

Dr. Michael Sinclair - Executive Chairman
Dr. Sinclair qualified in medicine from the Middlesex Hospital, London in 1967 and has held a number of appointments at teaching hospitals in London. He became a Registrar in Psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital and Institute of Psychiatry of London University before entering business in 1971.

 

Between 1971 and 1977 he held senior board positions with Allied Investments Limited, which had operating interests in nursing homes through Nestor Nursing Homes, nursing agencies through the British Nursing Association, deputising services for doctors, medical equipment distribution, hospital management and the operation of a health spa.

 

In 1978 he was appointed President (International) of INA Healthcare Group Inc,. INA was the parent company of Hospital Affiliates Inc; at that time the largest hospital management company in the USA. He held this position until the sale of HAI in 1980.

 

In 1979, he founded Sinclair Montrose Trust Limited as a private investment vehicle for him and his family.

 

In 1980 he founded Hospital Capital Corporation Ltd in the UK to develop and operate private hospitals, nursing homes and retirement housing. HCC was acquired by Superior Care Inc in 1986.

 

Dr Sinclair was Chairman of Lifetime Corporation Inc, a New York Stock Exchange listed healthcare company which he founded in 1986 and which grew to be the market leader in Home Healthcare in North America. Lifetime was acquired by Olsten Corp in 1993.

 

He serves on the Board of Overseers of the Tufts University School of Medicine.

 

Between 1995 and 2001 he was the Chairman of US based Atlantic Medical Management LLP, which managed the New York based healthcare venture fund, Atlantic Medical Capital LP.

 

He is also the Chairman of two AIM traded companies; Mirada Plc and Totally Plc.

 

Paul Stacey

Paul Stacey FCIS - Managing Director
Paul Stacey qualified as a Chartered Secretary in 1971 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries in 1980.

Following management training with the Acrow Group Limited, he joined Nuffield Hospitals, where he worked for almost 20 years, initially as Deputy Secretary and latterly as Executive Director of Nuffield Healthcare Limited.

Paul Stacey joined Sinclair Montrose Trust Limited in 1992 and is now Managing Director in addition to being a director of a number of its subsidiary and associated companies. Since joining Sinclair Montrose Trust Limited he has been a director of its primary healthcare development businesses and was instrumental in the establishment of walk-in GP centres in the UK.

In August 2004, Paul became Managing Director of CareCapital Limited and Chief Executive of CareCapital Plc in August 2006.

 

Rick Hayes

Rick Hayes - Director UK Operations

Rick began his career in construction management before forming Hayes Contractors in 1989.


In 1993 he moved to Lovellford Contract Ltd as Business Development Director, responsible for implementing the company's retail maintenance division.


Responsible for site finding, land acquisition and new business, he joined primary care developer Ashley House Plc in 2000, becoming Regional Manager in 2001. Then in 2003, Rick joined Sapphire Primary Care Developments Ltd as Regional Manager responsible for the company's regional development activities.

 

Rick joined CareCapital Limited in 2005 as Director of Medical Centre Developments, and in 2007 Rick became Director of UK Operations and a Director on the CareCapital Limited Board.

 
 

Clive Hyman FCA,

 

Group Finance Director

Clive Hyman qualified as a chartered a ccountant in 1986 with Peat Marwick Mitchell &Co which became KPMG. He became a partner in 1995 and was one of the founder partners who established several of KPMG’s businesses: Transaction Services, Private

Equity in the UK and USA where he established the market position for the firm, K-Ventures (an early stage investment fund), Early Stage Advisory 1999 – 2003, as well as playing a significant role in a number of major listed clients. He retired from KPMG in 2005 to establish his own business, Hyman Capital Services Limited where he is Chairman and Group Chief Executive.

He is currently Chair of Young Enterprise East of England and a director of their trading arm Green Y Ventures Limited. He is also Treasurer of the Old Haberdashers’ Association.
